Political ignorance of Nigerian citizens

Some parties are busy giving out gift items such as garri, noodles, custard, salt etc. all these just to win the votes of Nigerians. I even heard that some are even sharing money to market women and I am kinda wondering, what do these politicians take Nigerians for? after spending a long time in seat and not being able to achieve anything reasonable for the people they still feel they deserve more chances.

It baffles m a lot how some Nigerians can sacrifice their 4 years for the little chicken feeds that these politicians throw around whenever they need the support of the innocent citizens. You see some fighting and killing themselves over these people who make empty promises every time they need our votes. For those campaigning for these people who are only there to make life difficult for the innocent citizens, just bear in mind that your children would reap the fruit you are currently sowing.

Politics in Nigeria is full of lies and deceit, it is bloody and as funny as it is, it's only the innocent that are affected. They fight and kill each other over the peanuts that get and them sell 4 years of their life, while the politicians meets peacefully with each other to decide how they would share their profits and who should win.

The election is less than 2 weeks away and the campaigns are more intense now than it has always been. The two major political parties are busy having series of meetings to decide who should rule as president and who should wait till the next elections and what they will give the party that decides to step down. They sometimes promise the opposite party certain percentages monthly as a form of compensation.

Please Nigerians, let's use our head this year, vote wisely, your PVC is the greatest weapon you have against any bad government and you have the opportunity to use it once in four years; think about the kind of suffering you will go through if you use your card to vote in a bad government because of the little chicken feed that they gave you and empty promises and that you and I know will not be kept. Imagine going through hell for four years over how much exactly? 

Within the past few years, a lot of companies have folded up, the ones that are struggling to survive are cutting down on their staff force just to be able to pay salaries and still stay in business. This is causing more poverty to Nigerians as the ones that are affect no longer have any means of survival; unemployment rate is rising and we say the government is good? 

Please use your PVC wisely and let's vote in a better candidate who would take the struggles of his citizens to heart. Age and experience have proven not to be any form of criteria for leadership. Haven ruled before doesn't guarantee success in another tenure. 

For the sake of our unborn children and the little ones who are yet to have any idea what politics is all about, let take the right decisions to avert more tribulations in this country.
